How To Dress Well – Love Remains

if michael jackson was a hermit
who lived in a cave, he would actually be
How To Dress Well.
this album is great; the ep is great too.
i never thought lofi rnb
could be so effective.

Nervous Systems - Needs Medicines

i am so tired,
but quite taken by the last.fm bio
for this band:
"Four thirty-somethings making a noisy racket in a spare bedroom.
Spare-bedroomcore?"

i hope i will still be writing bedroom pop in my thirties.

False Jesii – Ripped Jeans

well, i am a failure.
this ep is quite nice though though, super noisey lofi bedroom pop.
and it is free.

yesterday i thought it would rule to shave
and listen to old m83, and it totally did.
however, today i found that what was once a thin gossamer
of peach colored peach fuzz has been replaced
by an angry red rash.
my face both looks and feels terrible.

tonight i played, and like my face, it basically was a disastrous mess.
i made seven copies of my ep and could hardly even give them away.
a series of trash cans have certainly acquired a new plastic meal through this endeavor:
the countless hours of my stupid efforts.
i am sure that the upcoming battle of the bands will yield
equally fantastic results.
anyway keep your eyes peeled mtv, it is only a matter of time now...

BEST COAST - MAKE YOU MINE 7"

first and foremost,
wegmans vanilla soy milk
is divine.

i seriously still cannot bring myself
to do anything in this world.
instead, i will listen to lofi pop
and say things like
"oh baby" & "call me sweet thing."

drat, i forgot to mention
that this ep is fantastic.
and thank god, because tonight's
episode of the real world was such
a let down. BUMMER.

third edit:
i wanted to post a link to
the special bonus track that was
made available to those who purchased online.
i really need to get it together already.

good for them,
two friends making
lofi melancholic
bedroom pop.

and their website is adorable.

Veronica Lake - Discography

Sometimes, nothing can compare
to the humble honesty of
lofi pop. It is quite a comfort
hiding in the transparent
blanket away from the
synthetic polish of overproduction.

Sometimes, heartfelt lofi is the only
breath of truth available
in a school so overwhelmingly
fake.

(that being said,
some of these tracks
are
quite well produced.
poof.)

Afterlives - A Ticking Clock That I Couldn't Stop

I have nothing to say
about this exceptional
release from
Enemies List Home Recordings beyond
that it is everything anybody could
ever want or expect from
this consistently excellent
collection of artists.
If you like Have a Nice Life,
get this album. Buy it.
I can not speak highly enough
about this label.

Holiday Records

I am going away for a week on holiday,
and thought it would be fitting to post
this similarly named indie pop label.
one can only hope that my trip
will be as pricelessly gentle
as these free releases.

Folder - Inside EP

folder's reverb laden "inside" ep
is another much needed
example of beautifully melancholic lofi
similar to that of the previous post.
I wish that I could provide more information
about this artist, but unfortunately due
to the nondescript band name, I was unable
to find any. However, it's just as well because
I think that this release is strong enough
to prove this band's worth, with or without
some bland bio.
