i wanted to post this a while ago because it is fantastic-feel-good-fun, but not overwhelmingly saccharine. however, i was too upset to post such a thing. you see i try to keep this blog as honest as possible. and although i still do not necessarily feel especially connected to this ep at the moment, i know it must be shared. (assuming you dont already have it of course)
this is one of the most haunting albums that i have ever had the pleasure of listening to. i remember when it first was released back in 2006, it completely blew me away. yet every time i listen to it again, new subtleties and nuances reveal themselves. true horror and grace.
i think that you are very romantic and i hope that someday i will be able to wipe away your sleep droolies.
this album is gorgeous. i havent listened to their most recent release, moen, yet. apparently, they traded a whole wallop of atmosphere for indie pop patterns. whatever.
i should change my name to this flowing flow because clearly every band that features the word "flow" is destined for ultimate righteousness. at least the arctic flow and this empty flow would seem to indicate that. and everyone knows that two pieces of overwhelming evidence is more than sufficient.
right. this lp is fantastic. what a talented man that Brian Hancheck is. and he released "all the way until december" for free too. oh, to be talented and generous.
i wish i could write something more appropriate and sing my praises properly. just believe me when i say that you ought to download this.
ps. alsp make sure to re-check out other releases on this label. gift after gift after gift after gift.
well, i am a failure. this ep is quite nice though though, super noisey lofi bedroom pop. and it is free.
yesterday i thought it would rule to shave and listen to old m83, and it totally did. however, today i found that what was once a thin gossamer of peach colored peach fuzz has been replaced by an angry red rash. my face both looks and feels terrible.
tonight i played, and like my face, it basically was a disastrous mess. i made seven copies of my ep and could hardly even give them away. a series of trash cans have certainly acquired a new plastic meal through this endeavor: the countless hours of my stupid efforts. i am sure that the upcoming battle of the bands will yield equally fantastic results. anyway keep your eyes peeled mtv, it is only a matter of time now...
before slowdive, Savill was in a band called Eternal. incidentally, eternal also featured Sean Hewson of Monster Movie. no kidding. good shoegaze is good.
i am sorry that we do not see eye to eye benji. you are free to believe that hellogoodbye is the best band ever, i just disagree.
this album is gorgeous. i cannot believe it is available for free. you know an album is going to be awesome when it contains a song entitled "drowning in a cesspool of love."
i need to post generally happier music, stuff like "it's all good," but with significantly less tired 90's beats.
what are you silly? alcest rules. this leaked about a week ago, i wanted to wait until a nice bitrate rip surfaced. then when it did, i wanted to wait to listen to it. although i still havent because i am saving it, i am sure it rules. cheeeeeckk ittt rightttt.
What a day. what an album. lush, dramatic, and truly beautiful.
Fursy Teyssier, the sole member of this musical endeavor, is amazing. Not surprisingly, he also plays withAmesoeurs and has done art for a number of other similar bands including Alcest and Agalloch.
rock. i am certainly not nearly as happy as the gorgeous first track of this ep, but that does not lessen the need to share it. have a listen, riiiight.
two great artists, one pretty solid split. someone should do away with collab splits. they rarely overwhelm. with that in mind, this particular ep is quite successful.
