Wild Beasts - Two Dancers

What an exciting release!
It's as though The Dirty Projectors
got lost in a disco jungle, and became
something more similar to this album's
strangely appropriate band name.
The hooting harmonies are truly
infectious.

Destroyer - Bay of Pigs EP

I am finally back in New York.
Although I am too tired to describe
this release in any depth,
I highly recommend it.
Soft, gentle and richly warm
analogue synthesizers paired
with equally soft vocals are
exactly what I needed after driving
for eight hours.

Holiday Records

I am going away for a week on holiday,
and thought it would be fitting to post
this similarly named indie pop label.
one can only hope that my trip
will be as pricelessly gentle
as these free releases.

Little Big Adventure - The Hateful Eye EP

Endearingly honest, hushed vocals upon
whirling, frothy electronics spells bedroom
pop success. Little Big Adventure sounds like a
more polished, Swedish Basil the Mouse
(who happens to be a personal favorite, and another must-hear.)
Listening will make you want to shyly dance
in the corner, avoiding any sustained eye contact.

Delorean - Ayrton Senna EP

Oh, what a treat! Despite the grey weather,
this EP has made my day bright and sunny.
Delorean, is a disco-punk band
from Zarautz, Spain, and they rule.
I can't wait for the release of a new full length.
It has the potential to blow "boylife" out
forever.

*edit* i just want to stress how good this ep is. ah. *edit*

Folder - Inside EP

folder's reverb laden "inside" ep
is another much needed
example of beautifully melancholic lofi
similar to that of the previous post.
I wish that I could provide more information
about this artist, but unfortunately due
to the nondescript band name, I was unable
to find any. However, it's just as well because
I think that this release is strong enough
to prove this band's worth, with or without
some bland bio.
